How to read the available evidence

This hub separates active first-party status from older announcements and third-party repetition. It uses the current NEKCOM game page for platforms and year, Steam for store availability and specifications, and the official game account for event announcements. Reports without a direct source are not promoted into release dates, gameplay facts, or cancellation claims.

The game has not launched. Trailers and developer interviews establish direction, but they do not guarantee final numbers, controls, optimal strategies, or content structure. This guide gives current NEKCOM and Steam pages priority; older announcements remain historical evidence and yield when newer first-party listings conflict.

How the sources were weighed

This page ranks evidence by how directly it supports the search question. Developer and official game pages establish the setting, platforms, and announcements. Steam establishes current PC store status and listed requirements. Community directories can show that a destination exists, but they do not replace a first-party statement.

Steam — Showa American Story: Current store record used for availability, platforms, and specifications; it is not proof of unannounced features.
